34-6-2-144 “Trial”
Sec. 144. “Trial”, for purposes of IC 34-35-5, includes the impaneling of the jury, the actual trial, or other evidentiary hearing
where witnesses are sworn and testify, hearings on motions for summary judgment, and entries of final disposition of a cause of action.
