§ 1178. New trials and appeals; applicable provisions

    The provisions of Part 2 of this code, [FN1] relative to new trials and appeals, except insofar as they are inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter or with rules adopted by the Judicial Council, apply to the proceedings mentioned in this chapter.
